Meet Miss Fox
Hi! My name is Katie Fox. I am so excited to be joining the Big Walnut family at General Rosecrans Elementary this year. This is my first year teaching first grade. Last year I taught second grade in Southwest Licking Schools. I grew up in Bexley, Ohio but currently live in Galena. I earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from University of Kentucky. I have always known I wanted to be a teacher and have truly loved every minute of it thus far! I can honestly say that I wake up every day with gratitude for being part of The General Rosecrans staff. I am so excited to teach first grade.
I am looking forward to getting to know both you and your child this year. First graders have the best traits students can posses: curiosity, enthusiasm and empathy. First grade students will achieve much this year in terms of academic growth, greater self-confidence, and improved social skills. Good communication between parent, teacher, and student is very important for your child’s academic growth. If you have any special questions or concerns don’t hesitate to e-mail or call. I am looking forward to a fabulous year with your child!
We are going to have a wonderful school year,
Katie Fox
